INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMMON APP SCHOOLS:
To request your transcript to be sent to the Common Application:
- Create an account at www.commonapp.org and note your Common App ID.
- Follow the instructions to invite your counselor to be a Recommender. This will trigger an email to your counselor, which explains how to submit school forms online.
- Your Counselor must accept your invitation to be a Recommender.
- Your Counselor must open your Secondary School Report before you can place a transcript request to the Common Application.
- Your Counselor must submit your school forms online.
- Once you have created your Common Application account and invited your counselor to be a Recommender, log in to your Parchment Account.
- If you don’t have an account yet, you will need to register. For help on registering, visit the Registration help topic.
- Click SEND TRANSCRIPT at the top right of your screen or below your Profile Picture along the left hand side.
- Click the Send Transcript button next to your high school.
- If you haven’t added your high school, click Add Another Institution and follow the onscreen instructions.
- Search for The Common Application under Academic Institution.
- If The Common Application does not appear for your school, please contact your school administrator for Common App requests.
- Enter your Common App ID and check that the information is correct.
- Click Save & Continue or Save & Add Another for additional destinations.
- If you get a payment screen, please pay the amount stated.
- Once your school has approved your request and uploaded your transcript, your transcript will be sent directly to the Common App where it will be matched to your school forms and submitted on your behalf.

Alumni Transcript Requests
RCHS graduates from the Classes of 2010-2014 can request transcripts from Lisa VanRavenswaay in the RCHS Counseling Department.
RCHS Alumni who graduated prior to 2010 can request transcripts from Bernadette Crews at the Rockbridge County Schools Central Office.
