Local Scholarship Information
The RCHS Counseling Office provides students with access to MANY scholarship applications throughout the year. All of the scholarships we advertise are reported weekly in our Newsletter. Use the button below to sign up for our newsletter and to view past newsletters emailed out during this school year. Our newsletter contains information about upcoming local scholarships, application deadlines, and application requirements. If a scholarship application is available online, the link will be provided in the newsletter. If a link to an application is not provided in the newsletter, students can pick up a hard copy from Ms. van Ravenswaay in the counseling office.
We strive to provide all students and families with access to scholarship information so we began using an online newsletter at the beginning of the 2015-16 school year in order to increase awareness about our many scholarship opportunities. We strongly recommend that you sign up for our newsletter, which can be easily viewed on a computer or phone with internet/email capabilities. Students can also view the bulletin board inside the school counseling office for information about upcoming scholarships.
Students and families should direct any questions about scholarships to Ms. van Ravenswaay in the counseling office at (540) 463-6150 or [email protected].

Our newsletter primarily provides information about scholarships available within the RCHS or local communities. Families are welcome to seek out additional scholarship opportunities. Please keep in mind that scholarship scams do exist! One common sign of a scholarship scam is any scholarship that asks you to PAY to enter or apply. If you have any questions about the legitimacy of a scholarship you find online that RCHS does not publicize, we suggest contacting your student's assigned school counselor.
